REMEMBER 2012, WHEN THE WORLD WAS SUPPOSED TO END? According to some, everyone was doomed. According to others, there was to be a rise in overall consciousness, and a newly found awareness of energies previously ignored. Since the world is still here, we can consider the possibility of an expansion of consciousness.
THE REFERENCE POINT FOR THIS POSSIBILITY IS ROOTED IN THE TEACHINGS FLOWING FROM THE VEDIC CULTURE. The awareness and understanding of various energies as understood within the Vedic culture was different than ours has been. However this situation is rapidly changing within the fields of Para Physics and branches of Biology as an alignment with Vedic though is rapidly developing.
What methods are available to increase an awareness of individual energies? Even if the energies can be identified, what value could that information have in practical terms for an individual?

TO ANSWER THE FIRST QUESTION; INDIVIDUAL BIRTH CHARTS PROVIDE THAT INFORMATION THROUGH SOMETHING CALLED THE ASHTAKAVARGA, KNOWN IN JYOTISH AS THE 8 PART DIVISION.

IDENTIFICATION OF POOR RECEPTIVITY IS ONE THING; DOING SOMETHING ABOUT THE SITUATION IS QUITE ANOTHER. An important thing to remember is that each person must find his or her own way. It is not productive to slavishly follow someone else’s path to successful use of consciousness; you must follow your own truth. Your path may be similar to another person’s, but it will not be exactly the same. Rather, each of us has our own path to follow as we strive to maintain full consciousness in life. ASKING OURSELVES QUESTIONS IS A FINE WAY TO DISCOVER WHAT OUR PATH TO CONSCIOUSNESS IS.

Everyone experiences shifts within their moods. Sometimes mood shifts occur within the span of a few hours rather than a few days. Such moods shifts are normal and hardly noticeable nor do they upset our lives, or the lives of those around us. (See: Mood Form Explanations bellow)

The graph is an example of someone whose receptivity is consistent.

Here is an example of a less fortunate person who monthly faces serious mood swings.

HOWEVER, SOME PEOPLE HAVE DRASTIC MOOD SHIFTS FROM ONE DAY TO ANOTHER MAKING THEIR INNER WORLDS QUITE CHAOTIC AND LEAVING THE PEOPLE AROUND THEM FREQUENTLY HURT AND CONFUSED. Above is an example of a less fortunate person who monthly faces serious mood swings.

The weather is commonly blamed for mood swings; it is too hot, too cold, too wet or too dry for a person to be in a good mood. If not the weather then it is something out of place or someone else’s behaviour that is thought to be responsible. IF EACH SITUATION IS CRITICALLY EXAMINED THE SOURCE OF THE PROBLEM IS USUALLY WITHIN THE PERSON EXPERIENCING THE MOOD SHIFT.

Moods are directly link to how we are evaluating any given moment. THE TASK NOW IS TO SEE WHAT CONTRIBUTING FACTORS CAN AFFECT OUR INNER EVALUATION AT ANY TIME. THE ASHTAKAVARGA PROVIDES THIS INFORMATION.

Mood Form Explanation

moodchartblank-01The Moon repeatedly travels around the earth and as it does so, it passes through the 12 signs of the zodiac and the 27 Nakshatras. The 12 columns represent the path of the Moon, as approximately 2.25 days of time. The heavy blue line represents the level of lunar energy you specifically receive as the Moon travels its natural path around the earth. The lines numbered 0 to 8 represent the intensity of that energy you receive from the Moon at any given time. The solid dark line 4 represents total normalcy; line 3 represents low normalcy and line 5 represents high normalcy. Lines 3, 4 and 5 receive a pleasant level of energy and light.

The value of the light has to do with how we feel as a result of its intensity and how we look at the world at any given moment. Light enables us to clearly see what is before us. As the intensity of the light gets up to 6 and above it increases in brightness, becoming so bright we can no longer see well. In fact at 7 and 8 we are nearly blind but we are also feeling so good and that this when we make mistakes.

The converse occurs under line 3. At line 2 the light from the Moon is becoming dim, making it harder for us to see clearly. By line 1 and 0 we are blind due to the darkness. Darkness manifests within us as negativity; often the label depressed is applied, where melancholy would be more appropriate, especially at line 2.

It is not necessary, or wise, to be able to look at a calendar to say ‘Oh, today I am up or down, whatever the case might be.’ The reason this is not wise is because that action has us looking outside of our self to explain our emotions. It is not necessary to have a list of dates; what is necessary is to pay attention to how we are feeling and how we are judging our environment. Our environment does not change based on how we feel about it. Our environment is; how we respond to it is up to us.

If we are feeling exhilarated chances are we will volunteer for a project, go into debt or make some other rash move. We will do this because our world- view at that moment is so positive, as though, ‘we can handle anything,’ which of course isn’t true. Likewise, when the energy is low ‘the world is against us’ which also isn’t true. In both cases we need to know that, whatever we are feeling, that too will pass.

It is in knowledge of the constant shifting of energy where we have the opportunity to become fully conscious and aware of our inner strength and knowingness that can be called our soul, that part of us which is beyond the demands of our ego. To find out where our energy level is, all we have to do is calm our self and look within. One easy thing to do is simply to take a deep breath and hold it for a moment before exhaling.
