There is a theory that we have a trinity within which decides what we like and don’t like. According to the theory when we refer to ourselves, we’re referring to three things. Take a moment to think about it; me the knower, whatever is known and the relationship between the first two parts. If the relationship between my assessment of what I know is to my liking, I’ll be happy. If it isn’t to my liking, happiness flees. Could it be our happiness depends on our judgments?
We often make snap judgments with no idea why. Are we parroting someone else’s opinion? Do we know why we made the decision? How often is ‘because’ our justification? It could be that unexplored judgments are related to our current situation?
