Being biased is a human condition and one easily hidden from ourselves. It’s been said, to be human is to be biased. However, it’s easy to know when I’m biased. When presented with information attacking my current ideas, anger arises. The instant anger, shows that the subject area stimulating the bias, is the area I need to focus on. The ideas I currently hold, need expansion. Introduction to the expanded knowledge recently gained can stimulate discomfort, if not outright anger, as we struggle to incorporate new findings into our world view. The novels I write will introduce some the new findings.
