The Moon and its various qualities are very influential in how we think. Do we see the world kindly or to be challenged and conquered? No one thing is responsible for how we think, however the nature of the Nakshatra holding our Moon is a good place to start. Using the sidereal zodiac, this knowledge increases the understanding of any planet’s potential. Just as the Moon’s placement in any Nakshatra will modify how a person will tend to think, or see the world.
There are seven types of nature spread around the Nakshatras and each contributes to planets place in it. The influence needs to be included along with the degrees attained, specific house, and aspects to or from any placement. Having fewer planets showing harsh Nakshatras is preferred, because it will help the native be milder, more inclusive, and less combative than those having high representation showing negative tendencies.
Laghu and Kshipra – tends to be positive and is swift in thought.
Ugra – Fierce, negative and severe.
Misra – Mixed. Sometimes sharp and sometimes soft.
Dhruvaa – Fixed, permanent, excessively stubborn.
Mridu – Soft, mild, tender and gentle.
Tikshna – Tragic, sharp, dreadful negative.
Chara – Moveable changeable.
For example, the former-President of the United States, Donald Trump, has his Ascendant and Mars in Ugra; His Moon, Mercury and Ketu are in Tikshna. His Sun at 1° Gemini and his retrograde Jupiter are in Mridu. His Venus at 3°49’Cancer is Laghu and Saturn at 1°51’ Cancer is Chara. Do you agree?
