A choice of either worldview connects to a zodiac. For example, the Western view is that the male Sun alone creates the tropical zodiac, recognized in the expression ‘the sun signs’. The Eastern system recognizes the feminine energy of the Moon to create the Nakshatras, which unite with the male energy of the male Sun to create a complete zodiac, capable of producing knowledge of seen and unseen factors.
Western and Eastern views agree the Sun signs give knowledge about what can be seen, therefore the tropical charts have rulership over physical bodies because of their visibility. The Moon ruled Nakshatras in the Eastern system, rule minds and our subtle bodies. Neither of these factors is visible to our limited senses.
Although the Western worldview has not acknowledged the existence of the subtle body, there are traditions that do. Traditions like acupuncture, some branches of chiropractic’s that use muscle testing, and Ayurveda. No matter how well we know another person, we will never know for sure what they truly are thinking, but the study of the Nakshatras shed light, which is knowledge, on such thought processes.
