More Than Astrology
A student, of any form of astrology, must study more than the one subject. History, psychology, religions and science are subjects requiring attention. Moving my attention to the potential similarities between Western and Eastern astrology the skewing of history has become increasingly apparent. The refusal to recognize scientific evidence flowing from periods prior to the favored Biblical chronology, has hampered the flow of knowledge from earlier civilizations and cultures.
Two Sides of One Coin
One phrase caught my attention recently: ‘two shall become as one’. Could it be possible the strength of the Tropical zodiac is its representation of external activity and the resulting conditions? Whereas the Sidereal zodiac’s strength is to emphasize what cannot be seen, such as an individual’s inner experiences?
Research Begins
For a few months I have been wrapped up in looking at the foundation of the sidereal and tropical zodiacs. The journey has been exciting as well as frustrating. Why has it been frustrating? I know, from experience, both zodiacs can provide valuable information. Research design and statistical analysis never were attractive subjects for me. Every design I came up with had glaring flaws that even I could see. All is not lost.
